MEET THE TEAM

Hanan Hanna is a Registered Psychotherapist with nearly 16 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through life’s emotional challenges. She is the Founder and Director of Helping Hands Psychotherapy Services, a practice rooted in compassion, connection, and evidence-based care.
Hanan holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and integrates therapeutic approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, trauma-informed care, and experiential modalities into her work. Her clinical focus includes relationship dynamics, trauma and attachment wounds, emotional regulation, life transitions, and personal growth.
With a deep belief that healing happens in connection, Hanan works relationally and collaboratively—helping clients identify patterns, build emotional safety, and move toward healthier, more fulfilling relationships with themselves and others. She is especially passionate about working with couples and young adults and is trained in the Prepare/Enrich program, supporting couples in strengthening their relationship foundation and navigating marriage with intention and insight.
In addition to her clinical practice, Hanan supervises practicum students, mentoring emerging therapists with a strong emphasis on ethical practice, self-awareness, and relational attunement. She also serves on the Board of Healing Wings, a charitable organization dedicated to increasing access to mental health care and fostering community connection and healing.
Hanan is frequently invited to speak at workshops, retreats, and community events on topics related to mental health, relationships, self-awareness, and emotional well-being. She also designs and facilitates women’s retreats and group experiences that integrate therapeutic insight, reflection, and community, creating spaces for growth, healing, and renewal.
Hanan is a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and is committed to ongoing professional development, ethical practice, and compassionate care. Through Helping Hands, she strives to create a welcoming and inclusive space where individuals feel seen, supported, and empowered because once in a while, everyone needs a helping hand.

Yolyana is a therapy intern at Helping Hands and also plays an integral role in program development, coordination, and client intake. She brings a calm, grounded, and collaborative presence to her work, supporting individuals as they develop a deeper understanding of the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and nervous system responses.
Yolyana’s approach integrates empathy with a neuroscience-informed understanding of how the brain and body process stress, emotion, and connection. She draws from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based strategies, and emotion-focused approaches. Through this lens, she helps clients gain insight into internal experiences and build practical skills that support meaningful and lasting change.
Yolyana works with individuals navigating anxiety, stress, self-esteem challenges, communication difficulties, boundary setting, life transitions, and grief and loss. Her sessions offer a non-judgmental space to slow down, reflect, and safely explore what feels difficult. She believes that growth occurs when insight is paired with practical tools, allowing clients to respond differently rather than remain stuck in familiar patterns.
Yolyana’s goal is to help clients build emotional awareness, strengthen self-regulation, and move toward a life that feels grounded, intentional, and aligned. Through therapy, she supports individuals in reconnecting with themselves and moving closer to a vision of life that feels authentic and possible.
